Healdsburg Avenue is the City's predominant north/south arterial connecting residential areas with shopping centers, businesses, parks and recreation areas, public facilities and the downtown/Plaza Park area. The street served in place of Highway 101 until the late 1950s, when the Healdsburg bypass was constructed.
This study will analyze Healdsburg Avenue from Powell Avenue to the northern city limits for the potential to implement "complete streets" concepts and other streetscape enhancements. The "complete streets" concept is planned, designed, operated and maintained to provide safe and convenient mobility for all users, including pedestrians of all ages, bicyclists, personal and commercial vehicles, and persons with disabilities.
Would you like to help shape the future of Healdsburg Avenue's northern corridor? On March 15, 2019, we will host five community focus groups at the Community Center. Please see the flyer below for more information!
