Arts and culture has an important role in helping to make Healdsburg a special place. Organizations like the Raven Performing Arts Theater, Healdsburg Center for the Arts, The 222, True West Film, Heartizens, Healdsburg Jazz Festival, Healdsburg High School’s art program, local artists and creatives, and many private galleries bring vibrancy to our community.
In 2021, Healdsburg City Council adopted the community’s first Arts and Culture Master Plan to help guide the role of the arts in making Healdsburg a great place to live, work, and visit. One of the proposed outcomes of the plan included the creation of an Arts and Culture Commission. We are excited to introduce the members of the City’s first Arts and Culture Commission at a special Meet and Greet, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 8 at the Paul Mahder Gallery, 222 Healdsburg Avenue.
At the Meet and Greet you’ll have an opportunity to meet the Commissioners, learn more about their work implementing the Arts and Culture Master Plan, and share your thoughts about the importance of the arts in Healdsburg.
